TAMPA BAY DOWNS SET TO BENEFIT FROM SPORTS WAGERING

OLDSMAR, FL. – Legalized retail sports betting arrived in Florida with its launch Thursday at Seminole Hard Rock Casino, and Tampa Bay Downs will benefit as a sports betting marketing partner of the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

The agreement allows fans to Tampa Bay Downs by g up to wager at  www.hardrock.bet/tampabaydowns ,www.hardrock.bet/tgtpoker , or by scanning a QR code accessible at the racetracks.

“We are excited for Tampa Bay Downs and TGT Poker & Racebook to have an opportunity to partner with Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock Bet,” said Greg Gelyon, the Oldsmar oval’s Vice President of Finance.

Gelyon said sports betting revenue received by the track pursuant to its agreement with Seminole Gaming will be directed toward upgrades to the plant. “It will give us an opportunity to improve the facility and enhance our customers’ racetrack experience,” Gelyon said.
